Jane Scarth House is a local charity opened in 1995, founded in memory of Romsey resident and mother of two, Jane Scarth, whose family to this day remain closely involved with the work of the charity.
Jane’s is a bit different from other charity shops in Romsey! Everything we sell in the shop has been donated by local people. We do not buy stock in from elsewhere.
All the profit we make in the shop is used to support Jane Scarth House.
We are very lucky to have some wonderful partnerships nearby that we promote to our clients. Last weekend a group of men who have experienced cancer came together with the Cancer and Pisces Trust for a day of Fly Fishing at Holbury Lakes. Pictured is our Man Chat facilitator George. If you would like to join with any of our groups then please get in touch as it can lead to some lovely opportunities.
There are a range of ways you can help support us at Jane Scarth House. Visit our fundraising page for some inspiration and download our fundraising pack to get you started.
This weather makes it hard to contemplate, however, we're pretty certain it will be a little cooler for Walk the Test Way 2026. So how about walking in the beautiful surroundings of the Test Valley whilst raising funds for local people struggling with cancer? Some of our team will be there and it would be lovely to see you. Feel free to pop in or contact us on 01794 830374 if you want any support. Alternatively registration is now open at www.walkthetestway.org.uk
We would like to say a huge Thank You to Parker Bullen for their Update Your Will campaign in March which has raised an amazing £3800 for Jane Scarth House. We are very grateful and appreciate all the hard work that went into this.
“The counselling has helped give me the confidence to return to work.”
